Jamaica

Jamaica’s first inhabitants were the Tainos, an Arawak-speaking people, believed to be originally from South America. In addition to being Jamaica's first inhabitants, they created "jerk." Jerk is an ancient island method of spicing and grilling meats. To eat jerk is to experience Jamaica and its many different influences.
